2022.01.27 14:54 DangerouslyConfident Mods, Where is your mandate?
Mods, hear me out before striking with the banhammer.
You wanna start making active strides to making this better?
Mods should work FOR the movement, to enable and nurture a space in which we can all discuss what we want to try and make this world into, how we want to do it, and how we want to engage with people outside our four walls. We need to trust you, trust that you are the right people to do that.
You want to show that we can trust you? Step 1 is to prove that you have any right to. Put it to a vote.
"Does the community trust mod u/ABC" yes/no "Does the community trust mod u/DEF" yes/no "Does the community trust mod u/GHI" yes/no
You pass that, you have a mandate. You fail it, you step down, the community picks your replacement.
You don't do this, good luck in rebuilding goodwill.

2022.01.27 14:54 cacsf Weird period? Light then heavy? Anyone else?
I (35/F) realize that all periods are different, because each person is different, but mine is giving me some rather annoying symptoms and I'm just wondering if I'm the only one.
Note: I'm not on any kind of birth control anymore, but was on the pill from when I was about 16 to about age 31.
I get some very light spotting for several days - as in, barely noticeable. But then if I have sex with my husband during that time, at the end, there is some blood, which makes me assume my period has arrived. However, i'm then clear again for a few days (2-3 days typically), until I get very heavy bleeding for one day, without warning. It then pretty quickly wanes.
The heavy day sometimes (but not always) comes with heavy cramping, feeling feverish and sometimes lightheaded.
I know this is very subjective, but I'm just wondering if anyone has any insight into experiencing something similar, or if this might be a sign of something being off?

2022.01.27 14:54 TylerCrane417 Is their anyway we can get Frontiers attention?
I love JWE2, however it’s lacking in a lot of ways, park customisation, terrain control, and attractions to name a few. It seems you only have to be on this subreddit for 30 seconds to see these issues brought up, so why don’t frontier do anything or let us know they’ve heard us?
This post is literally as the title says because I’d love this game to be better than it already is but I’ve got no clue how we can get frontiers attention as a community.
Obviously JWE2 was never going to be as detailed as planetzoo and I don’t expect it to be, but there’s so much room for improvement.
Any way we can get Frontiers attention could mean we get the changes we want, so im open to suggestions.

2022.01.27 14:54 WhoJerksTheJerkMen Dungeons and Daddies set me free
Welp, Dungeons and Daddies S2 ep1 finally did it. I'm out. I can't listen to 10 seconds of mouth sounds more of these unengaged ok ok boys. I've been coasting on fumes of the McElroy verse since skipping out of Graduation half way through. Trying Ethersea and deleting every second MBMBaM. I hope the most talented McElroy gets snapped up by D20 soon where they appreciate someone who actually bothers to learn the rules for his character and tries to roleplay.
Sure, Ethersea is better than Graduation. That's like saying a day old floor pancake is better than a turd. Barely palatable and bland as hell. The newest episode dropped and, after just having chuckled through first episode of DnDaddies S2, it was a straight delete. I look forward to playing at home by reading episode summaries here.

Can anyone help, I can’t work out how to fill the Integrated ExactRate 8RX Tanks. I’ve got a tank of fertiliser that I use to fill the sprayer but it doesn’t seem to fill the extra tanks. I’m probably missing something obvious, but I can’t work it out! (Console)

2022.01.27 14:54 Dependent-Egg-8049 Free iPad apps for creation of vectors illustrations and images?
I have just recently started my journey into creating eLearning for my employer and have received training via Omniplex in Articulate Storyline. My goal is to continue in my role for the next few years and ultimately become a freelance creator. I am very much interested in creating our own graphics to be utilised in my projects and purchased an iPad and a pencil to do so. I’m wondering if anyone in this community can help point me in the direction of the best apps to achieve these in-house created graphics I am aiming for? Thinking of personalising our courses with illustrations of our Chief Exec etc. I have a very basic understanding of Adobe photoshop but definitely need an app with free training available. Currently using vectornator and slowly picking up how to use the app but wondered if there is a better option?
Just to clarify, i am paying for the apps myself hence the need for free or low cost options! Will have to create a business case if I wish my employer to pay my subscriptions and licenses.

2022.01.27 14:54 WhyAmIDisWay I am always so quick to point out my own flaws.
That's an awesome trait I have. I see my screw up, I point it out, I make an effort to correct. Growth. Yay.
I'm starting to realize though that this does not go both ways, generally speaking. Is this a red flag? Should I be concerned that I am always looking at how I could be at fault, and you're always finding ways it's on me? Hmm. I won't dare ask. I think we both know how that will go. (I'm seeing what's not there, perhaps? It is unfair of me to say that?)
I think I'll wait this one out. Throw this out into the universe and... keep a close eye on it for the time being.

At Energy Solutions we focus on achieving large-scale beneficial environmental impacts. And we believe that market-based programs can be a powerful force to deliver large-scale energy, carbon, and water-use savings. For 26 years we’ve harnessed that power to offer proven, performance-based solutions for our utility, government, and institutional customers.
We are currently seeking a Software Technical Support Engineer to join our Information Systems (IS) department to do second line configuration and user support for Iris, our rebate processing platform for energy efficiency programs. Iris is a highly configurable software system. Working in the Energy Efficiency (EE) department, program designers and implementers craft incentive rebate programs on Iris. The Information Systems (IS) department at Energy Solutions is the software division in the heart of our environmentally focused consulting firm. Our team designs and implements innovative technical solutions to drive our nation’s transition to a cleaner and more dynamic energy future and works closely with the rest of the company to deliver these solutions to our clients.

2022.01.27 14:54 rayfusion7 Hey George Kamel, wanted to remind you that you're a millennial not a boomer!
I was listening to the podcast this morning on my drive to work and something that George said really irked me. He made this cringe joke about how millennials don't know how to make a phone call. I know it was just a stupid dumb joke but I don't know, I just felt that it was very obnoxious of him to say. This isn't the first time I've noticed this behavior. It's like he has this contrarian agenda that says that millennials are stupid morons who only invest in crypto, and boomers are the only ones with some sense. News flash man, you're also a Millennial!

2022.01.27 14:54 MonkeyBonkey44 How to create an alarm notification from a physical switch in a sewage backup valve
| I'm wondering what's the easiest way to set up a connected alarm for when my JR Smith automatic flood gate valve is triggered. I have a flood sensor with Ring that can detect actual water on the floor, but I'd like to be notified when the automatic flood gate valve has been triggered. The actual physical device is a bladder that fills and moves up in a big cylinder with a hole on top. I can't add any weight or pressure to the actual movement so as not to limit the movement or the weight needed to push the gate valve up ... so something with very little to no weight would be great.|
If I can wire up a device to detect that the top of the piston has moved up to within 2 inches of the top of the cover container, and then send a notification I can automate with IFTTT or an SMS message, that would be ideal.
What kind of physical sensor or device can I use to detect that the piston inside has moved up? Something out of the box without too much custom work would be great.
