SCSM - Any good?

2021.12.05 08:59 DhakaWolf SCSM - Any good?

My organization is looking for a new ITSM solution and I came across SCSM doing some research. How does it stack up against other solutions out there? I'd like to set it up in a test bed to give it a go but I don't want to waste the time if it's not worth it.

2021.12.05 08:59 tacheoncarti aight i gave some questions abt this genre abd group

I AM NOT ABLE TO POST BUT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW THOUGHTS ON THIS A NEW KPOP LISTENER COMING FROM EXPERIENCING A LOT OF OTHER GENRES AND REGIONS OF MUSIC
aight so im new to the concept of kpop and understanding its dynamics and how it works. I've understood that a majority of the music isn't organic and is directed by the producers rather than the artists. I've understood that the focus is on the idol culture. how is it successful even when the fans know that the artists aren't given full artistic freedom and it doesn't represent their true canvas? more below: by the way, i love the music, it's amazing and can't wait to get into this discography, but here are more of my thoughts and questions.
I've listened to all sorts of music all my life and I've really started to delve into kpop and understanding its dynamics. i mainly only have listened to blackpink so far and the music is definitely top notch quality. i mean it's supposed to be that way. now as someone who values musical and artistic creativity so much (fan of kanye west, the weeknd, and amazed by their approach to music and fashion especially), I've watched interviews and understood that the music is pretty much mainly made by the producer, who is in fact doing an amazing job, but the members themselves don't really seem like they're putting out their creativity on the table. the creative process is never visible and it seems like kpop in general has been this way. the concept of training is just absurd to me but as much as i see how it creates the so called idols, i don't understand how a fanbase exists when we all clearly KNOW that it's more of a manufacturing industry rather than the display of a true canvas. and I'd like to make it clear that their music is in fact great but unfortunately i am not able to enjoy the music knowing that it's all just pretty much scripted and not really genuine. please do share your thoughts on my ideas put out over here. do you really think these members and even other groups would stay relevant if the industry was like the music industry literally everywhere else, where the artist is truly given artistic independence? isn't this an extremely toxic environment for music to really, genuinely be created?
thank you very much for any responses in advance.

2021.12.05 08:59 miss_random_88 3 weeks of constant leaks

About 3 weeks ago, for no reason whatsoever, my illeostomy started leaking at least once a day (sometimes up to 5 times a day).
I went to my stoma nurse and apparently the size of my stoma has changed, for no reason whatsoever, 2 years after my operation. Now it's more oval-shaped than ever and doesn't fit a standard pre-cut appliance. From side to side it's 60mm but from top to bottom it's 30mm at one end and 20mm at the other. It moves around a lot. It can stick out several cms or retract flush with my skin or anywhere in between. It's impossible to predict and doesn't seem to matter what I eat or if I don't eat at all.
I have been back to the STN 5 times now and each time we've tried a different appliance. Nothing is working. When is the God damn nightmare going to end?!
Can they correct this kind of thing with surgery? Not that I particularly want another surgery but I'm exhausted and I can't see any other solutions here.

2021.12.05 08:59 TurgonTheKing Need some advice concerning desktop programming

I am a student of mechatronics and programming is a part of what I want to do. But because it is only a part, I am kind of limited on time and motivation to learn many languages (best languages for a particulat job). I want to learn a reliable language and GUI framework for desktop programming.
This is what I have some experience with:

I have a couple demands:
So far I have tried Java and although I like the language very much, the GUI is lackluster. Swing is outdated, ugly and cumbersome and although I like JavaFX and it looks nice and feels quite natural for someone who learnt GUI through HTML and CSS, I find it a bit slow to start and the support seems a bit underwhelming (because it is not very popular).
I have also looked at other languages like Ruby, Go, Rust, but the all feel like they are niche languages for specific area and the GUIs are not great.
I have not tried Python since I find the language ugly, but I might give it a try.
I am considering using C++ and one of these GUI frameworks: GTK, Qt, wxWidgets. I have done a bit to sort of know what lies ahead (memory, pointers,...), but I am afraid of having to learn the tools (make, cmake,...) and the cross-platform compilation, library management, etc.
I am using Linux and I am in love with it. But I understand that some people stick to Windows or prefer MacOs. That's why I insist on cross-platform support.
If I try to sum up: I like the static typing of Java and C++, the flexibility they provide, which I am gonna need, because I do not have a single area of application (like machine learning, data analysis,...). I do not mind Java's long expressions, on the contrary, I might even prefer it.
What I consider reasonably small: an app I did in Java: fat-jar of 11 MB and jlinked app of 36 MB, up to 50 MB is fine by me.
What I consider reasonably quick: I do not have much demands on runtime performance, but I want the tools I will create to start up quickly. My app's in JavaFX start up time is about 1-2 seconds, which I would consider adequate for an app that I would use for 2+ minutes. But the tools I might need will perhaps be in use for several seconds (10-20 sec) so quick start up is welcome. I would definitely avoid 10+ seconds start up.
So far, Java fits me very well, but for the aforementioned reasons, I am considering switching to C++. Is it something you would recommend? Or discourage? Should I stick to Java nad JavaFX? Or do you have other suggestions? I want to hear your experience, suggestions, insight, etc.
Note: I have just come across QtJambi, do you have any experience with it? Some experience I found: link
I appreciate all you help, just do not give a hard time please. After all, I am not and will never be a full-time programmer.

2021.12.05 08:59 I_am_a_robot_r_u Seth Rogan hasn't been funny for over a decade. And I have no idea how he is still being cast in Hollywood.

The last time I enjoyed/laughed at a Seth Rogan's performance was probably in Pineapple Express and I was in Middle School when I watched it. Since then every one of his movies he had to rely on his co-stars to carry the movie forward. His entire spiel is just "DUDE WEED!" and talking in a deep voice. Like his acting isn't even good, almost like he doesn't even try as he slept with the producers daughter or something.
I honestly have no memory of laughing at anyone of his performances which he alone was the comedic one. 40 Year Old Virgin, This is the End, Knocked Up. Can't say he was even great in these movies and another comedian could have easily taken his place.

2021.12.05 08:59 A_Visual_Odyssey Possible feature

I'm not sure if I am the only one, but after playing the game for almost 3 years now and being in a guild for two, I find myself wanting a "watch replay" when it comes to Territory Wars. I'd love to be able to see how my teams fair against opposing teams and it would be a great way to catch those who cheat too.
