2021.10.20 16:30 Skittlebrau22 Sweater suggestions.

Hey everyone, my boy Rocky is on the large size for greyhounds and I’ve been trying to find an indoor sweater that will fit him that won’t completely break the bank. I have some Houndtees which I love (and him as well) but they can be expensive plus shipping from aus to can. Most pet store don’t carry big enough for him, even the 3x from petsmart isn’t big enough. He’s 32/34 inch long, chest is 32/34 and neck 17 (yes he’s very big 😆) if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance!

2021.10.20 16:30 northstardim Word study on the word "perfect" (Teleios in Greek)

There are several different English equivalents the most common would be without error or flaw. But the other equivalents are "complete", "mature"," fit for a purpose", "whole". The Greek translations of the English word "perfect" share a similar list of equivalents.
Remarkably after going through every instance, the OT, uses of the word are consistently the same, using it for its common meaning. It is only in the NT does it begin to take on the other definitions. Two particular instances in Hebrews 2:10 and 10:14 where it is clearly misused to mean perfect (without error or flaw).other equivalents make far better sense.
Officially I've heard that no one is certain of who actually wrote the book of Hebrews and it is the book where the English word "perfect" is used more than any other book of the Bible. This is just one reason why Paul is not considered to be its author.
There is a certain variation from translation to translation. the word frequency goes from a low of 42 in the NIV to 123 in the original KJV. Still each translation shows more use of "perfect" there in Hebrews than any other book.
I find this very interesting.

For about a month and a half I (18F) have noticed uncharacteristic issues with bladder retention, and problems occur almost every day. I don't know what brought this on or how to deal with it, so I was hoping someone could provide some advice?

2021.10.20 16:30 SoulCacher Wishlist: "Follow the Window" Audio

So when I'm at my desk, I use three screens: My MBP is to my right, my Cinema Display in the middle, and my iPad (using SideCar, usually) is to my left. It's a great setup, but the audio handler is dumb.
If I'm playing a video on the MBP, I want the audio to come from the built-in speakers, If I move that window to the central display, or to the iPad, I want the audio to automatically follow it. Similarly, if I'm playing 2 video sources on 2 different screens, the two audio streams could come from distinct sources. This should be the same with audio players too. Basically "Follow me." Mac already supports positional Audio, it would seem that doing this wouldn't be all that technologically challenging.
If anyone knows of a setting, app, or magic spell to do this, I'd really appreciate learning about it! Otherwise, I'll submit it to Apple as a feature request and cross my fingers for it to show up.

Recently acquired a two-year-old lilac-pointed, male Siamese long haired cat, but he needs to be in a single-cat household. He's up to date on shots, neutered, and fully housebroken. He's also got a sweet, gentle disposition. If you know anyone who wants a cat, please let me know.

2021.10.20 16:30 Boogari Residency interviews

I'm starting to panic. My partner is not getting interviews in any of the cities I'd be okay living in. It's frustrating because this is something I have no control over. I'm just sitting here accumulating dread as the days go by. And goes without saying that he's incredibly stressed and upset so it's all just been miserable. I thought his application was strong, I dont understand how anything is determined anymore.

2021.10.20 16:30 cheersforthebeers Hey r/cambridge I made some auto updating Spotify playlists based on local gigs

Recently saw a post asking about what gigs might be on at the weekend and thought this might be useful for some. Ages ago I wrote some scheduled python scripts that continuosly update some Spotify playlists based on gigs that are listed on Songkick as being in Cambridge. It gets all the artists from Songkick and then if they are on Spotify adds their top two songs to the playlists.
There's three playlists, two of which are subset of the whole lot based on dates.
Gigs in the next seven days, if you want to find something to go to this week:
Gigs in the next two months:
There is no filtering for genre, number of plays etc, just everything it can find.
